there is nothing wrong with a T3 turbo, however the turbo is made by SS Autochrome...which is known to crap out from what I've read on JBO.

I would go with a Garett turbo...something of known good quality.

But anyway, good luck...I'm glad you purchased the intercooler as well. Remember to snap some pics during the install and let us all know how it goes.

+1 on that one.
I wouldn't trust anything from SSAutochrome. They are very unoriginal in design. I've yet to see them make something that they haven't copied from someone else. Aside from that, their copies are not made to be very high quality. I hate that they try to pass off most of their items as original fabrications from their company.

I'd be wary of anything offered by them, but that's my 2 cents.

I find it wierd that the axles wouldn't be able to handle 250 hp..... that's weak.... don't all our cars use the same axles?

All this turbo talk is cool and all, but what do you plan on doing for your fuel side? You don't plan on running that kit on stock injectors, stock fuel pump, stock fuel management, etc do you?

Not to mention drivetrain components, suspension components, etc. You'll be replacing a lot of clutches if you stick with your stock clutch and I'm not too sure about the axles, but I'm pretty sure a few hard launches with 50 extra hp might start messing up your stock struts.

What diameter exhaust are you running right now? Even with a small turbo like that you'll want at least a 2 1/2" exhaust to let it breathe.

Anyone can just throw a turbo on their car and call it a day. You need to take into account everything that's going to be affected by throwing 50 more hp at your car. I'm not trying to be an ass, just trying to keep you from messing up a brand new car because you want 2 beat all the ricer boys around the way.

yea im not sure if the kit comes with fuel management but youll def want some type of fuel management. stock injectors and fuel pump should be fine for the time being, those you can always replace as time goes on

even on 3-4 lbs of boost I would think the stock pump would get pretty maxxed. I don't know what it flows, or what size the stock injectors are though so... Personally I'd just wait till I had everything and do it right. Otherwise you could end up breaking things and just having a rough time with it.

if you read the thread, it clearly says in the very first post that i have the Apexi Safc FMU

as for everything else, for 5 psi, i shouldnt have to worry about upgrading anything right away. A new clutch will come, as well as injectors and stuff, but i play to just keep the boost low til i get those items.
