Like he posted, if he uses it as a starting point and always runs on dynojets he will be ok but if you switch dont be suprised if you post more realistic numbers.....

Here is the videos and slips of mine - http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3356945
when i finish my build i plan on running on a mustang. im just suprised that this dyno jet was reading so low for the SC and TC guys... low by about 40 or more...

yo, i know its been a LONG time sense i had an update, but here i am will a small amount of progress.
1st off let me say this... if you are an 08 2.2, if you dont want a big hassel, stay away from the 2.4 intake manifold. the bolts match up, but my brake booster line was in a different place and i had to get a custom hose cut for it. second the map sensors are different. the nipple into the mani and the harness are both totally different, so again i had to get a new harness and rewire that. if you are willing to do the work though, the gains in the top end make it worth it

that said this is the ONLY part i have had a chance to get on. school and work are killing me right now. i did however find that under 3.5k rpms i am looking at about a 2-3MPG gain in fuel economy! yes better gas mileage! at 3.5k-4k rpms i FEEL rougly 12-15hp gains and maybe 5-7 ft/lb torque... this is all rough guess, i have not dyno'd yet.

i have a guy working me up a price to bore out the LSJ exhaust mani i have, and then i will most likely be going with a 2.5" DP instead of this lsj dp i have now. i am looking at a pigtail on ebay so i dont have to repin my tb harness, and will be buying that shortly, once i have the exhaust all figured out and worked up that is. once that is in my hand i will be getting my tune and then i will redyno and post the new logs.

on a side note, i will be picking up some eibach sportline drop springs tomorrow and maybe a Hurst STS. but that will be determined when i get to the Modern Performance storefront.

more updates as the build progresses! thanks for following!

p.s. i say some dyno sheets for other cobalts with similar mods, and 140hp is a normal rating, my TQ however was a bit low, but that could have been my intake slowing airflow. we will see though

You could have avoided a lot of hassle by getting the 2.4 brake booster hose, and all you have to do is drill out the MAP sensor hole to like 15/32 I believe. What you did works to but I bet it was costly and time consuming. Check out Maven's 2.4 Intake Mani install in the how to to see what Im talking about since he installed it on a 2008.

Nice to see some progress being made though, I forgot about this thread!

i didnt want to drill out the hole for a couple reasons, 1 shavings in there could have been a pain to get out, and if i had gone too big i would have been screwed lol. as far as the brake booster hose, i completely forgot the 2.4 would have needed a hose to reach that far.. i feel like a ******* now lol.

also, ill get before and after pics for the springs to give people a ood idea of the drop on an LT
