Could see someone trying to up the boost and blowing that wide open...not like I haven't seen that before...
Yeah but i dont think anyone is going to run 20+lb's on their engine. I will be making a new thread on the Saab Manifold as soon as saab gets me the manifold. I ordered it 2 months ago, and they still havent gotten it in. im gonna call them today and find out WTF is going on. They ordered me 10 to see if the new part # they gave it slips through customs. Maybe they will give me all 10 for the price of 1 and ill do a Saab Manifold give-away or something =P

Maybe not now but if i still have this car when the warrenty runs out you better believe it's going to be running some serious boost.

Now my next questions are, do you think that if someone upgraded to the GT2871r that it would throw off the tune that SCT has and is there the ability to do the custom tune on the 71r?

Both sites say for 2005 model years and up, I was under the impression that there is still no tuning for the 07 with the E37 ECM, true or false?

Tried calling several places today to get more information on the SCT Livewire tunes. From what I was told (which wasn't much since they didn't know) but doing the gt2871r throws off the entire tune and they were not sure that you're able to do custom tunes. Hopefully Halfcent can elaborate if he has any new information.

Hey halfcent...its me your favorite guy with the questions haha.

Anyways. One quick question, that I think you have asked garrett already but i'm not sure. Since I will have a built or atleast semi-built motor how will I be able to up the boost on this kit to say around 12 to 15 lbs? Just upgrade the wastegate, or do you think order different turbo?

I'm just wondering this. I thought you had asked something similar to that before, i'm not sure though.

Thanks man

Matt

damn, anyone with an '07 Auto is seriously SOL here! Man, I was thinking the same thing about 'stangs. I have one right up the road that's been talking serious smack about my car.
Will there be any way to get that turbo to work on my car without redoing the transmission? Are there even turbos out there for suckers like me

The 2007 people will have to wait until HP Tuners is done with that ECM. There is a different computer in your car than the 2006. That is your first problem and there is no need to be sad. They have already said that your computer will be covered in their next software release I believe.

The problems you have with your automatic are what the rest of us also have with an automatic. We need to know if SCT will allow us to do a transmission tune. We should be able to do a tranny tune with the SCT setup. I do not know what HP Tuners plans but I suspect a transmission tune will also be availble. You should be getting answers more faster than us with the E16 orphan computer ever did.

By the time we are done troubleshooting all of the glitches with this new system you will have your computer tunning and probably an easier time than we will. Afterall its mostly the same hardware. I even have SAI to deal with (like everyone with the late model 2006s).

If a tranny tune does not come out, would the ShiftPlus and a tranny cooler allow us to run the turbo without problems?

I heard from Garret that this kit will only provide approx 50-70 whp out of the box. Thats about a 1/4 whp for every piece of hardware included in the kit :P

This is good news for the 2.2L crowd.
