No I wouldn't count on it. A tranny cooler is a must anyways. A shift kit will only sure up your shift points but it will not adjust them. This is something a few guys tried with the j-bodies. Everyone I know that tried using a shift kit with the supercharger or turbo had no luck. Tranny tunning all the way.

With the holiday, I think SCT is out for the week. I did get one reply from SCT where he said he would check if the Cobalt support is planned for the next version release. So we wait.

from what I gather, no, you will have to wait till HP tuners finishes work on the 07's ecu, which is different from the 05-06 ecu

I have a question as well. For the auto's, we can buy the kit, buy a piggyback and then tune? did I get that right?

I think so. You just can't use the engine controller that they provide. The only option would be to use a piggyback system unless someone like HPT or SCT comes thru with a tuning option for us.

SCT DID come through with a tune for us...thats what this whole thread is about! the 2.2 has a tuned turbocharger kit now! its still unknown if we can make custom tunes with SCT though, but there is definitely a canned tune for the turbo

So now of course the question is, will SCT's tuning ability of the E16a be made available to their tuner shops for custom changes? I'm sure we will learn about that information very soon.
That is the exact picture Hahn is using..........HHMMMMMM...... it is offered at $3499 for the 2.2L

I haven't been able to get the kind of answers I want from SCT. I have been wanting to speak with the guy that actually did the work, but haven't gotten to him yet. I have learned that the guy who did the work did it with his own car. So supposedly, that Silver Cobalt with the prototype kit on it is owned by the SCT guy that tuned it.

Damn it! Keep calling, you can't come back with no answers for us

Also I spoke to garrett. The guy said he doesn't see a release for the auto coming out anytime soon from them. So is it still a possibility that SCT will release a seprate tune for the autos?

Tuning is out. This is the full kit, with engine tuning.

Now my issue it that I need trans tuning as well. But if you are a manual, your ready to go.
