The air injection system would be completely removed as a result of installing any turbo kit. It becomes moot. So to answer your question, yes it will work.

As far as the manual trans goes, you'll be fine. You might burn up your stock clutch after a little while. In which case, get a quality aftermarket unit.

No. None of the kits are at retail sale yet due to tuning issues. It will be a while still, not until 2007.

I'm curious on how they plan on tuning it. I already researched into going with a aeromotive digital fmu made for returnless fuel systems. it will work, just a weird was of fuel management. I priced my custom build to 1800 with a custom 3inch exhaust installed. I don't think ill waste my money on their kit unless they have a better tuning solution.

will they let you upgrade the kits a syou can afford it??? like buy the base kit for like 1800-2000$ then upgrade to the tuner and the gt and whatnot??? cause 4000 is a big chunk of change to drop at one time. thats why sts got points from me for letting you finance your turbo kit.

umm honestly ive never seen a turbo kit that does do that. but almost any turbo kit you buy you can always find more upgrades for later on. like changing the intercooler, boost controller, bov not that the bov makes a diffrence but u can always change it. you can always upgrade a turbo kit, well untill you run outa money lol.

well pumpkin...its simple business actually....supply and demand. Larger turbo manufactures dont see a great demand for the turbo aftermarket so all the ideas for the cobalt gets pushed back to the end of the line. I do want you to believe that work is being done though. Cold hard fact is the pics halfcent posted. You have to understand the amount of R&D aka research and development is involved in creating something to this degree. I mean I unlooked issue could result in over fueling the car or over igniting the car..aka the car blows up. Now would you rather have a tuning solution that works the first time everytime or one that might work now and blow you the **** up later.??? You decide!

1st off i agree with Pjay. 2nd im totally siked about this turbo setup. cant wait till it comes out. im already saving. and im hoping by may it will show up. cause i originally am planning of GMPP air intake and exhaust with some cams and whatna. but if this turbo comes out for 4 grand ready to go once its installed, im gonna totally be all over this. if it doesnt well im just gonna save my money, and buy a used ion redline/cobaltss/sc in bout 2 years when they are cheaper.

please keep updateing with progress and any extra info.

thats a good price for the setup they supply.

a gt28rs dual ball bearing turbo is quite expensive just by itself

No, nothing new. SCT needs to finish up their end, and that is scheduled for first quarter 2007, so end of March.

So, is there any power difference for the different trim levels (i.e. the "Essentials," "Essentials Plus," and "GT Tuner Kit")?

That is, would the Essentials kit make the same horsepower as the GT Tuner Kit with how they are going to reflash the ECU?

That's what i thought. Anybody know which trim level the 198 hp / 219 ftlb on their site was supposed to be for? It doesn't seem to say anywhere...

For those of you who think the piping is plumbed oddly... just wait until you see the 2008 SS. Finally saw some tech drawings of it
