You can't say that posting a pic would basically mean getting fired? I can tell people that.

As for the trim levels making different power question above, you are mistaken. There is no difference in the parts from one kit to the next. Just a difference in how MANY parts you get. Each kit simply adds more of the complete package. The idea is a tuner may want the Garrett manifold and turbo but want to use different charge piping and intercooling. Just look at the different packages component lists.

I rather not say where I work in almost the same sentence that I said I have said images. If people can put the pieces together fine, but I am not going to connect the dots for them

Oh yeah, I'm an idiot.

It seems like more work than necessary to me to go with the Essentials kit. I guess the Tuner kit is geared more towards your average tuner than your hardcore tuner, if all the parts are already chosen/fabricated for you. I think I'll go with that one (if I ever save up enough $$), as I'd rather not worry about fitment issues.

And these figures are assuming that everything else is stock, right? Would it be safe to get HPTuners (whenever it arrives for us 2.2's) and tune for a few more horses, say 220-230 total whp, without upgrading any internals? Mine's an auto tranny, btw.

Just called APTTurbo about an hour ago asking about the upgradeable GT2871R being interchangeable with the disco potato in the kit...from what they told me is that when the kits are sold, they do not touch anything in the kits so that would mean that you would need to purchase the kit(s) and if you were wanting to change turbo, buy the GT2871R seperate and either keep or sell the GT2860RS. It's a bummer, but what can you do. Also asked about an eta time on the "Alpha" kit and they had no idea when it would be out. Just thought I'd let some people know.

So what exactly is the Alpha kit supposed to have? I saw that it said something about coming with Electronics... does that mean that it'll be more customizable?

I just read this entire thread. Glad most of it was about the auto, thats what I like to hear. I know nothing about this setup yet but I do know that upgrading the torque converter is a good idea. Pushing the stock 2.2 auto to 200 HP doesn't seem out of the question. Synthetic tranny fluid is good idea too.

I trust anything Garret makes. Whatever specs they say are safe for stock thats what I would run it at. If I want to run it higher, then that means build ups and upgrades. Sounds like this thing is going to be practically a bolt on!

Great news for the LS owners!

Are they going to sell the manifold and downpipe separately? That would be sweet! I don't have a cobalt, or a cavalier.

well our tansmissions are rated at 230TQ anyway, so yea 200 is even in GMs safe limits. most of the tranny building we were talking about were for builds of about 260-270TQ or halfcents 400TQ build

if they already have the kit and a tune for it...why hasnt SCT released the tune?

I know this is a tad off topic, but....

Will SCT be able to tune our cars, when its released, if we install the 2.2l supercharger instead of the garrett turbo?
Thanks

Yes, they should. The canned tune that will be sold with the kit is made using SCT's full authority authoring software, which is given to their tuning shops. So once they release the Cobalt software to their shops, you can do custom stuff.

Speaking of supercharging 2.2's, does anyone have an idea of when the Eaton TVS is coming out? I'm kind of curious to see what kind of numbers it puts out, and it seems to be taking a while for this model to be released.
