Don't race on the street and you will never have to go over 105+ for a while anyways.

ok this has been discussed in dept in another thread... and to the kid that is racing.... hey your in a LS if you think you can beat some car that pulls up next to you and can do 140 you are badly mistaken. Also there is no reason for you o do 105 on any road... I'm guessing your on sock wheels and tires, with stock brakes... thats just plain dumb. You need to get a grip and realize that even if you were on the track you would be luck to hit 90 in the 1/4. My advice to you is not to street race and search befor you post as there is tons of information here for you to benifit from....

i dont think it really matters if your manual. it has to do with what model you are and the tires your car came with basically.
to the OP if you have an 05-06 you can get tuned by trifecta and it will go away. unless you have upgraded tires dont though because the will eventually blow out.
i agree with both. if you cant trap it you dont need to go that fast.

Btw, you guys who whine about 105mph are so incredibly american ... Coming from europe, where even the 1.3L cars go 120 mph all day on T rated tires, and it's not considered anything special... I find it laughable how 'afraid' and 'fearful' you guys are of relatively low top speeds.
There are a few completely empty roads here in the prairies, haven't been used for years, a few people gather there every year and go for all out top speed, it's ignored by the local authorities... and any decent tire is atleast H rated anyways (210km/h iirc) - And for the record, the speed rating has to do with heat build up over a long time, a short burst of speed rarely affects even low-ish rated tires.
How much will a trifecta tune set me back? Can the 3LT flash be put an '05 Base Pursuit 2.2? (cobalt base ala pontiac)

I ain't no American, I also come from these very prairies you proclaim to be the promiseland and going 105 MPH in a base G5/Cobalt is still stupid. We're not denouncing it specifically because your tires will explode when you hit 105; tires are only part of the equation.
