Born and raised in denmark, once I bought my first few cars, '76 Porsche 924 and '86 BMW 325i and trying to keep up at 220 km/h+ in the fast lane, I learned how to drive fast, and how to keep a vehicle in spec to be safe at those speeds...
I've driven the pursuit with the VSS disconnected and my GPS going, car went to 131 mph without any real issues, I'd dare to guess that it'd go faster with mods/tires.
I'm going to make buddy buddy with a GM tech and get my limiter go bye bye (or set to 139 heh)

Btw, you guys who whine about 105mph are so incredibly american ... Coming from europe, where even the 1.3L cars go 120 mph all day on T rated tires, and it's not considered anything special... I find it laughable how 'afraid' and 'fearful' you guys are of relatively low top speeds.

Just so ya know...I used to live down there (calgary)...and here in Canada we have things called animals...and ya know what they don't go to well with speed...and yes that is one thing that I do know a little about...and I am not saying it is advised...but I have been 300 kph on a bike...Kawi ZX12...so just because you come from Europe does not me you have the corner on speed...In fact we have a friend that does the TV feed for F1 and is from Germany...he says that are not may place to go fast there...road are not good and small congested, not many wide open space to let things stretch their legs...and I was just wonering what it is that you are driving...??
I drive a 2.2 pontiac pursuit base model. 5spd. '05 year.

You have hit two deers and you have been here for how long...???I have lived here all my life and I have never hit a one...and I know exactly where you live I lived there for 10 years...and I don't think that this is what this thread was about...which continent knows more about speed...I think it is more a matter of healthy respect for speed than fear...JMO
