GMPP exhaust install
Been looking at this for awhile. After listening to the sound clips on CED websites, I almost didnt get it. The clips however, dont do the exhaust justice. It sounds great. Its low and mellow. Ive seen it described it way before and it is definitely right. Not very loud, even when you get on it. I love it so far. As far as performance goes, I cant feel any difference. Could anyone else?

I love the sound of mine. Its pretty nice when you go WOT, but has no appreciable drone when cruising. As for felt gains, the car feels much smoother to me, and I have noticed that when passing someone casually on the highway, I now have less of a tendancy to downshift. Its hard to feel a ~5-6 hp gain by the seat-of-your-pants method anyway, but I think that I can feel some difference especially at the top of the powerband.

I put mine on yesterday. I feel like its got a little more kick to it but i also wonder if my minds just playing tricks on me because thats what i wanna think. But i'm very happy with it, it sounds great and it feels just a little bit quicker than before.

I have the touring, i'm very happy with it. I do wish i would have gotten the performance at times, but once i get the intake taken care of the touring will balance everything out nicely. I just wish it didn't cost so much more.
At first I thought it helped a lot, but I think it was the sound playing tricks with my mind. I rolled the windows up, turned on the radio and pushed the car as hard as it would go, I don't think there is much difference at all. It definatly didn't hurt anything, But I don't think it was worth the money as a performance part. But for the better sound, better looks, lot better fuel mileage, its with out a doubt worth the money.

This leads me to my next question: Does the exhaust have to be bought and installed through GM in order not to void the warranty?

Yeah, if the install's easy I'd definitely do it myself. I'd probably go with the touring. My SS/SC is my daily driver, so I'm looking for a nice deep exhaust note...nothing that's too loud or obnoxious.
