sounds like supercharging it and putting a new clutch in will be cheaper/ easier anyway. ill take a look at jn2's and start making a list of parts.

do what ever makes you happier, yeah sc might be cheaper and easier, but will it make you happy? and i just started my build, and if im going to go f/i with my car i want atleast 350whp, and done right. f/i isnt something to cheap out on, atleast if your like me and doing this with your dd

well got a call today and might have the LS sold. if so. then SS/sc here i come.

You found a good deal on a SS/SC? I highly recommend you taking a look at the new turbocharged models, a tune alone makes them 320+ hp/tq. Not to mention the upgrades that are going to be coming out for them. We could very easily see 400 whp LNF's with a simple turbo swap and some supporting mods.

i would love to have a ss/tc. but idk if i could afford 350+ payments a month while im still in college.

Your basing your whole build off money and ease. You should be basing it off your power goal. From there will determine whats best for you. Cost should not be the first thing you focus on when you want quality and reliability.

If you did go with the garrett kit, you will need a clutch eventually. Something in the range of a stage 2 would work from spec or exedy. just a hint, the Exedy stg 2 is more like a spec stg 3. Get a wideband, and make sure you have a boost gauge. Those are the 2 gauges you MUST have. EGT and oil pressure are optional until you start making much more power.
