Good news for us 2.2's

i just emailed marty ladwig from gm racing about the possibility of tuning and the dreaded cam postion sensor and this is what i got back

Even though I haven't tried this personally, the guys at HP Tuners say that
their tuning program will work on the O7. If you send me a picture of the
cam sensor I should be able to help, our machine shop can make anything.

Marty

the tune has nothing to do with the cam sensor. lol mayybe it could be eliminated through a band aid, but to do it the right way a machine shop needs to put the sensor on. in fact that's been the case all along. another member already had the sensor put on his. lol

anyone wanna make my christmas with some cash? :-P

ok i think you might have read it wrong. he is going to press on the cam sensor just like bates did to the set of cams. which gives us another option as to who can do this process for the 07's and up. these were two separate issues i asked him about.

I disagree.... We shouldnt have to rely on someone else to tune us. I'd pay $1000 for HPT or Vince's software just to tune myself....

It's not like he just takes a guess and sends you a tune.

His pda hooks in and is a datalogger, meaning that he can use it to fine tune accordingly.

Anyone that's ever gotten the tune can attest to the quality and good work he does.
