Talking Guess my WHP/WTQ and 1/4 mile time...

Ok 1st I have an auto, so take that into consideration. These are going to be my mods by the middle of next month (the latest).

2.4 mani intake swap
Injen CAI/SRI
Long tube header with high flow cat (1 7/8 primaries and 2 3/4" the rest of the way)
Corsa touring catback for the ss/sc (2.5")
Ingals Tourqe dampner
B & M shift plus
Reduced weight on car interior
Upgraded tires
All royal purple fluids

***Lastly an 85 shot of n2o baby****...don't worry i'll be fine

I'll be getting more stuff later, but will be more looks than performance

still debating a tranny cooler ( I only race at the track)

Yeah I know alot of people would mention that. The car can take a much larger shot...as tested by GM....just that it wears down the engine faster. What makes the mani blow is when you have something go wrong, like revving with the nitrous actived (floods the chamber) or activating too early. If you have a "safe system" nothing will go wrong...i've had a 75shot running for about a year and a half and not one single issue. So i'm pretty sure i'll be fine. *knock on wood* lol.

I'll guess: 225whp/220wtq on the 85 shot. And a 14.9 for the 1/4 mile.

I dunno man. I've done quite a bit of racing down here in the south. I wouldn't be in the least suprised if he's still in the 15s with the insane humidity here... although it might be better if he runs it in the winter.

Let me explain why I believe he will have mid to low 14's

look at the hahn racecraft 2.4l auto (turbo) that 2.4 was probly what..140-160 hp at the wheels before turbo...and probly like 215-230 with the turbo..

he hit 13.9 it looked to be pretty warm out, not to mention he didn't shave any weight off the car, probly didnt even take out the spare tire or run out the gas.

You still think hes gonna be 15's?

I guess 215whp, 225wtq. And probably a 14.6 at 108mph.

I'm getting different tires with my new rims. Those are what I have on my stock rims and they've lasted me very long and have given a huge difference from the continentals. I got them cheap too so i'm happy with them.

considering the size of the shot hes probably running ~200whp and ~220wtq

then take into consideration that you're an auto I'd give you a high 14 as I run high 14's in my manual with slightly less mods.

Yeah, they are great tires for a luxury performance tire with a 45,000 mile warranty, especially if you got 'em cheap.

I just meant that for traction purposes on the drag strip, you will want something better. Honestly, I would keep those wheels and tires, and get a set of cheap lightweight 15's with some drag radials, or ultra high performance tires.

oh ok. yeah i figured there are some better ones.

I was considering getting 17x8 with 245/45/17 or 235/45/17 tires (not sure what brand yet). I don't want to drop it to the ground. I don't like the all show and no go look, so I got the eibach pro-kit.

I just got my B&M shift plus on...its pretty sweet.

Just as a note...i'm hoping/praying to hit low 14's

Would I be the fastest 2.2 sedan if I do?

85 whp and .8 seconds, actually. (From the #'s I guessed anyways)

Alot will depend on his launch, track prep, temperature, humidity, etc.

He should be trapping close to 100 mph, not 108 like was suggested. Thats good for mid to low 14's if he gets a good launch.

I don't think my guess was too far off; with an okay launch I think he could probably get a 14.5 @ 99. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
