Hahn Turbo Kit
Does anyone know about or has actually installed this on their Cobalt. I was looking at getting one for my 2.2L. There is a Stage 1 kit that gives you 180 whp. I will probably have to do some engine modifications if I put it on. Does anyone have any info on it?

Halfcent will you sticky some stuff for the 2.2 area i.e., Intake, Exhaust, Turbo/Lack thereof, etc. I think that will clear this area up as most of the posts are for those 3 things.

So what exactly would the ECU change when a turbo is added? I thought just fuel and ignition would be adjusted. Just curious because I don't quite understand the difference between 75hp added from NOS and lets say 50hp added from a turbo system.

with nitrous fuel is added with the nitrous normally unless you buy a dry kit which can be bad but also the nitrous doesnt pressurize the cyl like aturb would along with you need diff timing with nitrous compared to turbo etc

You can't use a different ECM. The Cobalts ECM provides data to other vehicle systems (like the power steering and the instrument cluster) that would not work if you swapped it out.
