Header Back Exhaust Questions

I got my 2007 Cobalt 2.2L a few days ago, I've been doing a lot of reading up and the first thing I want to do is exhaust. I think I've got it all layed out, but I'd rather check before I bust loose almost a grand on parts I can't use.

So any reason why this wouldn't work, Bad Mab header bolted to a 2.5 inch zzp downpipe which is bolted to a tsudo catback. Also car doesn't have SAI

Edit: One more thing while i'm at it...on zzp's website (https://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt...1198&catid=155) under option two it says "add an o2 bung for 2.2L". So I can safely assume that I will need this extra bung for mine? I haven't actully gotten under the car just yet, but I'm assuming theres an o2 both before and after the cat correct?

your thoughts will go together fine, just make sure you get that Downpipe with the extra bung.

i have the ZZP header and DP combo...so far ZERO problems

and my cat back is coming tuesday (megan racing)

you could just delete that extra O2 when you get a tune (i have high flow cat and it still throws P0420 code for efficiency)

the 2nd O2 is only there to tell you if the cat isnt doing its job...has no effect on performance or efficiency like the first O2

I'm aware that I won't necessarily get the full potential without a tune, but will the car require a tune after I get this done? I've spent the last 5 years messing around with my carbed camaro so I haven't really kept up on the particulars of tuning fuel injected cars. I finally strayed into 4 cylinder land because of the high gas prices and i'm not ripping on cobalts at all i'm actually thoroughly impressed with the amount of power through all the rpm ranges that even the base engine has

Car will drive fine without a tune, may run a little bit rich from time to time, but not enough to kill the car by any means. Should notice some decent low end improvement as the stock exhaust is quite the bottle neck.

I bought a factory SS/SC Header back exhaust from a guy on here (my recomendation) maybe 60,000ish miles/4years ago. I just got tuned yesterday and have had zero problems the entire time. You'll notice improvement above about 3000-3500 rpms on the highway when you try to pass someone.

Btw, if the exhaust manifold you decide on is a tubular design and isn't ceramic coated, I'd highly recommend getting it coated before you put it on the car.
