ok so i took my car to another mechanic and he says its not leaking, but i still hear like a tin-can-like almost rattling noise i guess u could say....when i got my downpipe i saw one of the sections on the side of heat shield on the cat was not crimped down all the way...could that be making the noise??? like the two peices pinging against each of making that noise???

Oh yea the heat shield sounds just like that. Mine isnt even bolted to the car anymore...its just hanging on the exhaust about to fall off. Rattles loud as **** everytime my car is in low rpm's
