not getting a downpipe? a downpipe is one of the single best bang for the buck parts for us 2.2s. our downpipe has two count em two cats on them and they are super restrictive. if you dont have enough for both i would drop the header and just get the downpipe. boosted or not, downpipe is what you want. id go with a zzp header downpipe combo and vibrant is also good.

Only thing about no cat is I believe most places wont pass it for its inspection, however you could install a high flow cat without a problem, or you could gut yours, but ive heard alot of shops wont install them, so youd have to know someone who can weld it in for you.

I rarely see the Racing Solution header as a suggestion, they are $199, and are a direct bolt on. In fact the heat shield with a little massaging fits on via 2 of the 3 bolts.

These look a bargain when compared to the Pace Setter.

I say this only because I hear that Pace Setter is a cut to fit and weld on header.
Also that some have welds break and leak issues.

I want something that is install and forget.

Actually there is one cat and a resonator. I been under mine putting my header on. a resonator is just like another muffler, you can pay an exhaust shop 20 bucks to have it removed. i have a pacesetter, it is a direct bolt on and you dont have to weld. but i did weld mine.

A good complete QUALITY 100% bolt on system is the Vibrant header/downpipe/highflow cat:

http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...23&idcategory=

Pacesetter is good for the $, it just is not 100% bolt on and does not replace as much as the Vibrant kit.

I actually just bought this combo from a member on here the other day...I paid $200 shipped for both and they were just sitting in his garage for the last 4 months or so...never installed...I'm so excited...can't wait to get them...Wombat is the person I got them from.

Kind of wish it had a cat, but oh well...for what I paid, I can deal with it...and if I don't like the sound, I can always have a shop add one.

Can't wait to get my full exhaust installed...this setup with an LSJ cat-back (only paid $45 for this locally...full exhaust for the price of a Tsudo...what do you think about that? LOL)...going for a fairly quiet sounding setup...don't care for loud exhausts on 4 cyl. cars anymore (my own cars that is...others I will listen to, just can't stand the sound while cruising especially on long trips).

Oh, I dont think ANY manufacture offers a header that works with SAI.

You may want to get it disabled by a tune so you can remove it?

with the vibrant header dp how much power do you gain?

also will it bolt on to the gmpp catback with no issues? come with the gaskets?

^Search for the answers...yes, you'll be fine with fitment...I believe it has gaskets, but I've never seen it written on TTR or OTT or any other site that they are included...also, not sure about the power...expect similar gains from all header/dp combos...the powerband and exact amount of power will differ slightly, but overall, they are all pretty close.
