so when im driving and down shift to first then pull in to my drive way my rpm rev and stay at 1500 then once i come to a stop it drops to 1000 its getting anooying and i just want to now wtf. so its a wierd ? but i want to now if any one nows what the hell is going on.

well if you are moving and drop it into first your RPMS should shoot up. and when you stop they should come down to 1000 or below.

Is this serious

you dont really need to put it in first if your coming to a stop, second gear should do ya just fine. its a very rare occasion if i ever put my car in first while rolling.

you shouldn't need to downshift into first to pull in.

Ehh I know what he is talking about, my car does the same thing. If I am coasting to a stop in N, it stays at about 1200-1300 until I come to a complete stop.

it better do that or you wouldn't burn off all the fuel. Sorry the car leaves the throttle body open longer on deceleration.

ya im talking about be going then come to a complete stop and my car sits at 1500 2000 and mostly after 2 to 3 sec ti drops to 1000 and im not moving its a "COMPLETE STOP NO MOVIE"

the AC is another load on the engine because it is run off the belt. If it is running you will have marginally higher revs. Not sure if its noticeable never tried but its worth a shot.

In my auto, as soon as I turn on the AC idiling, the RPMs jump by about 150, thats all.
