personally when i pop my hood everyone says wow thats a nice intake. injen has a really nice intake for the 2.2L ( Get something that looks nice and when you pop the hood makes you feel good) not just a pipe with a stock airbox. not busting on people just what i would do

i have a long ass piece of polished 3" stainless steel tubing im gonna make my own intake out ofjust need to get it bent.....i think it actually says more about someone making their own parts(to a certian extent) than just buying one and putting no thought or engineering into it

However AEM or INJEN or whomever has spend tons of money on a dyno and with engineers developing the best products you can make. There's no possible way you can duplicate their results with a pipe bender and exhaust tubing in your basement at home!

Doubt you'll see much of a difference if any with a short ram intake. I know there was no difference when I put my CAI on. The best way to get better gas mileage is to alter your driving habits. Look into hypermilling or get a tune. Countless people have seen significant fuel mileage increases after they've had their car tuned...

not when you can get the same flow by makin your own puttin a k&n in and pullin the resonator out of the bumper hehe plus my intake doesnt even get hot since i painted it black with high temp **** as when i had my K&N SRI that thing got burnin hot. This ine works just as good and is temp till the turbo comes around hehe
