How fast have you had your 2.2?

The car is drag limited to 124mph, get some more power and you can go slightly faster
Car and driver got theirs to 124mph, where it topped out (not governed). (see above)

hack even gave a link to it. if u have the resources to take the governor off, and i believe car and driver would have those resources, then u can max the auto ls out to 4th gear at 6500 rpm, and as the link states, it hits 124 in 4th gear at 65000 rpm. lets do our research before we post and make ourselves look like idiots....
hack, its just to easy messing with n00b's isnt it??? haha

And if you read closely it hits 124 @ 3rd gear @ 6,300 RPM
Thats on a UNMODIFIED 2.2 Auto.
Why would they waste time to remove the non-existant limiter to lie about their tests?

there a limiter set at 105 on normal ls, and theres a limiter set at 115 or 120, (no one has been able to prove which it is) on the sport model ls... so what are u talking about there a non existen limiter? obviously if ppl are topping out at a speed lower then this 124 mph that car and driver hit, there must be a problem with everyones ls's then... is that what ur saying?
i personally have the normal ls, i have hit 105 and the car will not go ne faster... so there is a limiter on it... right???
i agree with what he said... (for the first time in this thread)

What im saying is.. that From what Ive seen and heard, and off of personal experiences.. My car will go to 117 and then slow down.. and i dont have the sport package... I have a base... Im not saying that There isnt a limiter.. Im saying that its very unlikely that an ls could go 124 with a limiter...

if u have the base, u "might" have the different tires. they may have put the pirelli tires on some ls cars that are dont have the sport package (i havn't seen it but its chevy, they want to turbo a HHR, so nething is possible out of them)

Anything beyond that is speculation.
Show me where they said that.

Maybe Car and Driver and I BOTH had factory freaks, but I haver personally been over that speed to 125-126, with intake and exhaust which would explain why i was able to hit a speed slightly higher than Car and Driver.
haha, cause suddenly dealers are the end-all gurus of the world.
