4-4cyl 's do not have headers.
5-Good Choice.
6- wtf are you thinking. Horrible Idea. These chips dont do ANYTHING but maybe even hurt your car.
Silly ricer, if you wanted to add hp and go fast you bought the wrong car

Your wrong by saying that 4cyl cars dont have headers.. yes they do.,.. there is a term called a manifold but people call them headers... exhaust header... exhaust manifold= same thing.... so nice try on that...and 4 cyl cars dont always have a bad exhuast sound... Ive heard alot of them that sound nice... he just shouldnt try and sound like a V8..
But In the same breath some stuff you said is true...
Good choice on the Intake and for getting a downpipe... i agree with you...THose Electronic Chips dont do anything like you said...they probably hurt the car more than help it... so your right that is a horrible idea...

Just wait for the GMPP supercharger kit once they offer a tuning for the Cobalts.
That will give a hair over 200hp, then you will need a header, full exhaust and maybe a ported tb FTW.
The Ecotec supercharger kit from GMPP exists only for the 03-05 Cavs and Fires.
Soon enough they will be available for our Balts.
They want $2500 or so at Crate Engine Depot.
It is $700 to have the dealership install it, so for $3200 you will have a $15k car with a $3200 mod that will be very close to an SS 2.0 model.
You will then need rear disc brakes and better suspension.
You can sass up the 2.2 with an exhaust for now so that is in preparation for the SC kit.
The GMPP exhaust sounds pretty good and doesn't give the dealer an excuse to dodge the warranty, but the Borla and Corsa exhausts sounds the best imho.

Which is quite amusing because he throws that ricer term all around the boards yet he is worse than any ricer I have ever encountered with his tough guy persona and his gloating about how much better his car is than the LS and LT crowd. Like any of it makes up for the fact that the kid is a major league ******** with poor social skills.
I think this is a good expiriment no matter what the results show.
