i'm new to the cobalt scene so i dunno what went down. i actually don't even own a cobalt yet. i'm in the process of buying a ls to have a new relaible car while i build my firebird. and i'm kinda checking out to see what mods are out there and how much faster i'd be with them. seems like high 14's would be doable with a fully bolted ls.

Sorry totally off topic (feel free to delete if I've strayed too far ) but does anyone here even know what's involved in this? I'm a fairly strong developer and always wondered how exactly a car's chip works and most of how how to understand, write and compile code for a reflash (I'm going out on a limb and assuming it's some level of assembler). Problem is I wouldn't even know where to begin looking as far as online resources are concerned and I'm def. not using my car as a guinea pig...I've seen a few of my applications go real bad real quick .

Sign up over at HP Tuners forum. The programmers there talk techno-babble all the time that I don't understand. But it would be right up your alley. That should get you started in the right direction.
