As i need more posts, here is my N/A build !
Well, looks like it should be a good idea to put some pics of my build here, so here we go !
Take some parts !
A 2.4 manifold + TB
Some 10:1 .020 overbore Wiseco's
Some Eagle rods
Some LSJ stock injectors
A lighter steel flywheel
A Schrick camshaft kit (billet cams with 12mm valve lift, titanium retainers, dual springs...)
Some valves from SiValves
Take the engine off
The internals too
Polish and deburr the pistons
Polish the crank where needed
Port and polish the head (process not finished on those pics)
Make some calculations
Cut useless things
Get some custom made DLC pins especially for your application

Have fun with the balance shafts bearings
Put this all in a good washing machine
Start the reassembly
The trigger wheel for the standalone
And the very first start on youtube
What is not pictured :
The head is skimmed 1.4 mm, the Sivalves add 0.25 CR by side (so 0.5 int + exh) due to them being less dished than OE items.
We are using a Cometic LSJ .027" head gasket too, so depending of the 'yet not 100% certain' stock head gasket thickness, we are something in between 12 and 12.4:1 CR.
The last development is this :
Our cars are using a water to oil exchanger from factory and this is a failure from this one.
After some research, our oil pump valve relief piston was stuck in the oil pump cover by.... dozens of small particules of the oil pump gears
Looks like the hardened gears from GM racing are here for a reason
While changing these, we are lowering a bit the oil pressure too, as the stock 8.5 bar are a bit too much for an high perf N/A application, it steals some HP and is uneeded when you use some very good competition oil. So targeted oil pressure is 6 bar at max rpm (8000 rpm)
Soon to be sorted,
And just to anticipate any incoming question :
No the map is not final and the car has not been dynoed with a very good map yet
Reason : I am waiting for the third, corrected version on my specially made 4/2/1 exhaust manifold + line, the previous one were leaking so impossible to use to map the ECU...
At least they look fine :

that was freakin sweet..... and all i can see are the pics...lol.
forgive me, i'm at work and can't see the vid, so i can't tell from the pics and you have this post in the 2.2L section. what kind of car is that? That last picture (with the leak) looks like the back end of Caddy XLR, but that's not it either. The first couple pics show this to be a mid-engine car.

no ****?...did not know that. how come other contries always get the cooler versions of cars?
Australia gets holden (although pontiac has started to bring some of those designs here with the G8 GT). Europe gets this awesome thing. Where's our mid-engine?

ditto. can't think of any good examples, but some of the things they've done have been a double-take moment. "Wa-wa-what?"
