a nice 2.5 mandrel exhaust with a Magnaflow 40 series, and a resonator

do you mean flowmaster 40?

I still like the magnaflow idea better, street series or something, but make sure you have a nice long resonator or glass pack in the pipe too like was already said!

When I had my car in at the shop, just for ***** and giggles I had them take everything past the manifold taken off just to see what it would sound like - and I was surprised as ****, sounded damn good! Unfortunately, it was INSANELY LOUD, like LOUD AS **** haha. Too bad, cuz it sounded way better than any exhaust I have ever heard on the 'balt.

But x2 on the resonator/glasspack or whatever. For mine, i ended up using a cherry bomb mounted in reverse...

Whoops - edit - however I do run an LSJ my bad haha

a cherry bomb is nothing more than a glass pack but would definitely do the job why did you mount it backwards? accident ?

I have an LSJ and all I did was chopped off the rear muffler and spliced in a Flowmaster Super 44...best sounding LSJ I've heard...

i got a 2.5" piping wit a high flow cat and a magnaflow muffler. n it sounds good. its a deep sound not like a rice one.

It actually mellowed it out alot better mounted backwards. We tried it both ways and it was less ricey sounding that way

GMPP should be another good option for you. It has a deep tone and sounds great. You can hear the GMPP touring slightly at crusing speed, I can't comment on the louder performance version.

yeah mine sounded more like angry cicadas rather than bees... i put a 26" glasspack on it and it mellowed out a bit, unless i step on it, then it gets pretty loud.
