I'm the 2.2 guy GTX was talking about. I lost torque between 3300 and 5600 rpms. At 4 grand I was down almost 20 lb-ft. I will try to get my dyno sheet up this week for you guys to look at. I'm not bashing CED at all, some of the guys seemed to get decent gains with minimal torque losses. However, my torque curve got shot to pieces.

It should be the same. I think that the only way a 2.2 will really be able to take advantage of this manifold is if they go with a turbo or a high revving setup.

Here is what I have been talking about:

This is a comparison between my setup without the manifold and with the manifold. Take it as you will; I don't like the results and will be switching back shortly. IMO its not worth the loss throughout the power band. If I want more power higher up, I'll consider cams in the future.

You do realize espically up north the temp diffrence between your dynos and how big a diffrence that makes right? I also drove the car for a week before dynoing it to allow it to recalibrate the computer to the new amounts of air and fuel it was seeing.

Love it, wont run without it. and i can say beyond shodow of doubt, its worth it. I paid $280 out of pocket, plus time and fuel to test this, and to possibly get nothing from it but the parts from CED, and to give them the results.

I'm biased only to myself and how I want my car to perform, I still ****** 2nd and rip the tires (225s to boot) and it pulls hard to the limiter. I like that feeling better than it wheezing out at 5500 and debating to shift.

Ambient temprature, your run was in april most likely 50's a lot less humidity ect ect.

That effects Intake Air temps and plays with the computer, and timing. Plus throw in it trying to understand what its seeing with more air and tring to compensate with fuel to keep it from knocking.

Thats why i didnt use my very first dyno runs back in may, I redynoed base lines a week and a half before doing hte test, 7 days before the final, unhooked the batt for a night, drive it to work for a week, hard and not so hard, then took it to the dyno.

Absolutly. Without a dyno, 20 hp at the top you can feel it. First 3 times i tried a strip launch, i banged the limiter because it was winding up quicker at the top.

You also have to rember that I tested this without the DP and Manifold, I just added those in the last week, and I STILL do like it.

But XM tested this also with a DP and a Mani, so as they say, "You're mileage may vary".

I plan on getting back to the dyno in the next few weeks, funds permiting.

But over all, I still stand behind the swap. I enjoy my car because of it.

Its very deep, its never ever made a rice crackle.

DIC says 30.2 now. so 29 to 32
