i was wondering if anyone had times

yes, it's a huge difference. many modded 2.2's are still in the 16.3-16.5 range. only way you'll take a manual off the line is if the driver sucks. with your mods, no chance you'll break into the 15's. realistically you'll probably be in that 16.3-5 range.

awww, btw theres nothing wrong with a 4door. i like the look of a really nice sedan especially with sum D's on it, and i can get my bitches in and out easier, but damn the 4door w/o power locks/windows

Granted all of those are stcks, some have few mods (2.2's) and are in the 15's.....

exactly. the autos are completely different and you can't compare what you would run to those times. showing some slips from cars that have a different tranny doesn't prove anything. i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm just being realistic. if you think you're gonna get a 15.8 you're going to be in for a big disapointment is all i was saying.

ill have to agree with you, but im optimistic. i know your not bein a dick. the 2.2s are slow, but wow autos really play that big of a role. fck my car then, damn my dad for giving my 1000 for a down payment only if i chose this car! GRR

i had a 2.2 auto for 2 years. fully bolted, and i still clocked it at 8 seconds 0-60. stock manuals are less than that but you should be happy your dad helped you out bro. do what i did, i kept the car, got mostly out of the red, sold it, and bought a used 2.0 with only 15,000 miles for $15,000. that's pretty much the going price on them.

I don't think the 2.2L can hit a 2.0 without some suspension work and some wider tires.
The funny thing is that I pretty much haven't been very close to that time, save for one run in May. I ran the one above in April of 07, and continued racing into the summer, progressively adding time till I hit a worst of 16.5 @ 83 with a 2.4 60'. And that was with GMPP intake, exhaust, exhaust mani, and the XTC DP. Personal best was a 16.1 @ 85 2.3 60'.
But that was all in AZ. I'm in Cali now so I went back to the stock DP for emissions.
Edit: Oh yeah, it is an 07 if that helps. More aggresive tranny and more hp than 05-06.

A side note, with one additional person in my car my 0-60 went up to 8 sec....weight in 4banger's blow!

First time at the strip did 4 runs: 17.1, 16.9, 16.9, 16.8<--- all with stock tires which roasted the whole way through first(didnt know how to ease off). Only mods was a catback.
Second time was 11 runs on 245-45/17 hancook ventusII: 16.9, 16.5, 16.5, 16.5, 16.5, 16.5, 16.5, 17.1, 16.5, 16.5, 16.5<---no mods other than rims and tires which prevented any launch wheel spin and the CAIbox mod. All of the 16.5's were at 82 mph with a .7 reaction time.
