Talking Im officially tuned!

Hey guys, I'm now officially tuned. I wanna give a big thanks to Vince at trifecta tuning and clear image. Vince is genious. Because im an automatic, i only have the engine tune. The tran. tune is in progress still. I just wanna say it runs excellent. No problems at all. The throttle is more responsive, definitly more low/mid power, pulls alot harder, shifts smoother. The only slight problem i had was when i was uploading it, it got to the very end and then displayed a "W31" error. It first i got scared but, i just called vince and he emailed me an update file that you just transfer to the tuner and it fixed the problem. If anyone gets this problem, don't panic. He said some cobalt computers act different then others, and can be fixed. So other than that, everything works perfect. Again I wanna thank Vince, and also beth from clear image.

Well pretty much you just specify what parts you have installed when you fill out the order form for the tune, and what your looking for and he comes up with a tune made specifically for your car. However i dont believe the 07 tuning will be available for a few more weeks still. I have an 06 so.

your going to need to build your engine then. at that point might as well run a 3.1 pulley on the TVS and make 300whp easy.

That's awesome. Ill be honest I'm going to wait until some more people get tuned and any kinks are worked out, but I'm really looking forward to getting this done in the future.

I didn't plan on it. I think if your gunna spend the money (like I plan to) to make a 2.2L push out almost 300hp, your gunna spend the money on a piggy back

some people may laugh at that statement as depending on the car community, piggybacks are looked down upon

but i get your attempt, maybe a base tune from them will make the car a little more piggyback friendly because the changes wont be so drastic.

Will it's not like i'm just gunna add another fuel injector... what I meant was that if your gunna be spending that much money in the first place, you might as well do it the best way possible the first time.

Nope, I'm in the club, too. I had to drive the car to work today to get a feel for it. Now that I have a couple hundred miles on it I have to say the car is a whole lot peppier than before. At first I didn't notice a whole lot of difference, but the thing that caught my eye is how much quicker the speedometer moves. From 60 to 80 used to take forever, but now it just keeps on climbing.

I also had the problem with the programmer, but I spend about 4 hours with Vince back and forth with emails and tune logs until he figured the problem out. Now it shouldn't be a problem. It was mostly the computer timing out before it got a response from the PCM. All in all I think it has been money very well spent.

i see it maybe making the car driveable during f/i, i dont see it it runningn 100%, hell i dont even think it'll run 70%, but i mean tuning for f/i takes alot of work, loads of dynos, and loads of money, im sure this tune can atleast make the car driveable under boost, sure it wont be as fast at it would normanlly be, but it'll be faster than it was before boost, i am considering ordering this, but at the same time idk...i will have to wait till the end of the month, cuz right now idk

I disagree.

Supercharging this car is easy as pie.

Get the FIC or other tuner of prefferance.

Get the S/C kit from someone or eBay.

Get it installed and then tuned.

Call it a day.

Im officially tuned also
Good increase in Torque especially where the 2.4 intake manifold kit had taken away.
Rev limiter is gone because I shifted at 6750 Rpm's just at the edge of the redline.
Another Good Review
Thanks Trifecta Performace
