I HIGHLY suggest saving your money and either supercharge or turbo your car. It's the best investment, and all the information you need is on this site. I got my car when I was 17 and ended up supercharging it right after I turned 19. With some help from a couple of friends and A LOT of research, I was able to do all the work myself and saved a bunch of money from not having a shop do the work.
what size pulley are you running? and are you on stock internals?

I have a 2.9 pulley. Boost tops out at 12 psi. And yes, all stock internals

that sounds like a good plan, i might end up doing some suspension and exhaust though before the turbo all depends on how much im working during the summer, plus i still need to pay the car off :P

hey man im sure some of the older guys here have been in them shoes.. i used to have a ford focus 5 speed hatch.. bitch had like 125 hp lmao! i couldn go over 110mph on the highway but i put hid's and a sub in it and lived w/ it for bout 3 years, alwaaaays thought bout upgrading it but never had the money, then finally i got the cobalt SSsc and ive enjoyed it since, sooooo if i was you... jus save up and trade that bad boy in for something a lil more sporty and... if thats your cup of tea that is, enjoy your college and have fun w/ what ya got, keep up w/ school and work and saaaave! take that car keep up w/ it, dont mess it up and trade that thang in and you can pick up somethin a lil more fun down the road but.... thats my opinion, unless your hellll bent on fixin the cobalt up, save for the turbo or SC and then you can go that route, but w/e you do for your ride, its not gonna gain ne power unless you go from naturally aspirated(n/a) to forced induction(FI) and thats when you'll enjoy it! jus my .2 from some1 that was in ur shoes 2 years ago...

I was gonna get this, but decided that an exhaust tip with a resonator was better. Sounds authentic for me, even for a bolt on. However, it's starting to rust a bit on the top end of it. It was cheap so I'm not surprised. Might get another, or just a whole muffler assembly later.
