Injen CAI without tune?

First off my car feels a lot slower from the start. Is tuning going to help this out? Its so hard to get through first gear. Is cai or sri better for low end torque?

I'm just saying I don't want to take off this slow lol. I had bad mab headers and zzp 2.5 dp and was perfect. I'm just wondering if I wasted money on the intake. Was perfect with stock air box mod might switch back for now.

Nothing is going to improve your car a great deal without tuning... an intake won't change your powerband at all unless you tune the car for it. The only thing you can do is eliminate some wheel hop by getting some engine/tranny mounts and better tires. That'll net you faster off-the-line times and cornering ability.

That being said I have an intake and a catback with just the stage 2 canned tune; I took my 2.9" pulley off because it was maxing out my injectors. I put the intake on just to hear the s/c and put the exhaust on so my car had a nice growl.

Maybe this combo of mods without a tune is not a good things? I'm also getting a lean after intake. Does that mean to much air?

Yea I'm guessing you've passed the limit of what the stock tune can take. A tune would definitely get you going again

What are some good engine/tranny mounts? What are rotated tranny mounts?

TTR offers some good engine mounts for helping reduce wheel hop.

rotated motor mounts raise the engine to help with axle bind for the stanced/lowered guys who have issues

I had a full 3" CAI for about a week and was getting a CEL from being too lean. Ended up being from the intake itself. It sounded nice, but the air flow past the MAF was what was giving me the code. Either tune it for the new intake or just run the SRI. I knew I would eventually go s/c and didnt want to tune twice, so I just went back to the SRI.
