Your 2006 LT is the equivalent of a 2005 LS...GM just decided to change the branding to confuse the hell out of everybody. I haven't had an opportunity to look under the hood of an '06 LT but I would assume it is identical to the '05 LS models...maybe see if you can find an '05 just to be sure it's the same .

They are basically the same... GM got rid of "base" for 06 and changed the trim levels around a bit... your LT should be about identical to an 05 LS, but checking for yourself never hurts

Yes it will convert between a SRI and CAI which is a huge selling point for me being in Canada as well. I had the same question about the Canadian price though...I would assume you would pay the 222 + current exchange rate which last time I checked was about 0.20 cents / every dollar so I'm guessing on a price of $275.00CAD with the current deal.

On top of the CAD price, does that price include taxes (that's assuming Ohio has taxes haven't been there in a while )?

Talking All or nothing

Hmm the direction some one is going in with an intake?
I belive in if your going to do upgrades why not do it right
wow your going to add 7 hp to your car and it will cost you 300
I could go pump high octane gas an add that much hp
seriously either save for a turbo or supercharger or go fill up with high octane gas
And by the time you have all your pennies saved up, you will be out of your powertrain warrenty. That is exactly what I did.

I personaly want to change out my intake, not just for the hp increase, but also for the sound. and im pretty sure that high octane gas is not gonna make the same sound. to each his own.

Ya same as me...easier flowing air just makes things that much easier on your engine...the hp/tq gain is nice but it's not everything .

Had another question for anyone who has bought the black already...is the WHOLE thing black including the throttle body adapter or is just the piping black? If I did decide to go Injen I think the black would go well with my silver but only if it's the whole thing .

Thanks,

wow, those dyno results are so disappointing...not that it's a big deal, but it would have been nice to not have that much power lost when it's transferred to the wheels..Oh well...

i hate how theres practically nothing there until you get around 3000 RPM in the 2.2 cobalt.
with or without the intake. sheesh. im not used to this sorry...

222 shipped is a fantastic deal. 200 shipped is better?

WTF ??? i seriously hope you realize using a higher octane gas does not give you a gain in HP

only way higher octane gas will give you a gain in hp , is because your detonating on the lower octane , and the pcm is pulling out alot of timing

higher octane gas does not burn as fast as lower octane gas , which helps with detonation

but if the car was made to run 87 and you put 91 in it , you wont gain any power , you might loose some due to the gas not burning as fast

do some REASERCH before you spout out about stuff you got no clue on

nice intake

I find the cobalts are pretty good on power at lower rpms, and the high rpms are where they lose it. But Kelly drives and auto Cobalt, so maybe that's why. I think that's a good gain for an intake. If I had a Cobalt, that's what I'd go with (provided I didnt turbo it already). And I know that's what Kelly wants to get too.
This intake get's my full approval.
