installed my new intake, a few questions...
so i got my k&n typhoon sri today and installed it shortly after. i love the sound it makes! my first question for those with this same intake is, IS THE PIPING THAT LEADS FROM THE INTAKE INTO THE CRANK CASE REALLY LONG? mine was and it had a huge kink in it, so i trimmed a few inches off of it so that it fits perfectly, is that okay? i also think i may have installed a few things wrong, so im gonna go back tomorrow after work and put it back together again (i was in a huge hurry when i did it today). also the heat shield doesnt seem to sit "level", almost as if it is angling down, IS THIS NORMAL?
can you guys send me some pics of your k&n typhoon so i can see the setup, maybe i just need to redo it much slower this time haha, but like i said before THE SOUND IS AWESOME!
thanks

as long as the intake is flowing air into the TB and their are no leaks it will be fine. cutting it to fit also is not a problem.

I'm guessing not alot of people have this intake. Cutting the hose is fine as long as their is no leaks.
Not sure about the heatshield.
Heres a pic and maybe you could describe more about the heatshield.
