Intake
just wondering i have been reading alot of post about intakes and have noticed that alot of people are saying that they disconnected their battery. i never did that do i need to and what does it do.
i know there has been many posts about intake and i looked for an answer but havent found any.. so if you guys could help me out i would apreciate it

The instructions say to do it with the injen ,and I heard several people who did not got a CEL (check engine light ) its very simple to do and is a common safety precaution when working under the hood of any car ,not sure if thats why ,may have something to do with disconnecting the airflow sensor.but thats just a guess.
but if you already installed the intake and did'nt do it ,then I would'nt worry about it unless you get a CEL.
I think doing so resets the ECM (engine control module) and may remove the CEL if the condition for it is no longer present, but I'm not a gm tech and may be wrong.

Supposedly by disconnecting the battery, you can clear a CEL (if one came on after install). I did this with my K&N CAI, the CEL went off for about a day or two. This is just what I heard, not 100% sure though.
