Cool for a race car. But definately not good for a daily driver. You would need to fab up some sort of filter to put on those. I wouldn't want street trash flying into my engine.

They say something about an ECU that comes with the kit. Interesting.

I signed up over there I need a British Slang Dictionary.

After Reading through some posts, it sounds like these are already in production

Look at the pic again. It looks like it's set up for 2 small oval filters.

Is this for our actual 2.2? As in, will the tuning work with out ecu's?

Yeah, I just looked at it again, and looked at the original post. You're right, it does have one big long filter.

They also say that the ecu that comes with it has a rev limiter of 7250rpms!! WTF! The motor will not last long doing that, but someone else said that you can request a 7K limiter. But I haven't seen them post what ECU it is.

Yellow LT- Find out what you can, I'll be reading up on some of the other posts on that forum. Maybe you could PM some of the main guys that have it installed already.

why wouldn't the engine last long?

anyone that would buy that would have a well sorted head anyway, and, just because that's the limit, doesn't mean that you have to shift there.

just looks to me that this is a setup built for a car that is going to regularly see higher RPMs

neutral balance shafts would help out a LOT in the high revving department....your engine wont be able to take those RPMs very long with the stock balance shafts

Valve's Float at 7200 according to GMPP in our cars

Here is the Site of the Guys making it.
If i read correctly they are using a piggy-back and a mechanical setup for the TB.

That is exactly what I'm talking about. 7200 valve float. In a zero tolerance motor, like ours, valves smacking the pistons is a good way to make your motor not last long.

Oh, they do a 6800 rpm limiter, and a 7000, higher is what you have to request.

At over $5500, I would expect more than a 25-30bhp.

IVe not read the entire thread. But I hvae followed the devlopment of that ITB kit as its been publicly shown on a forum in the UK.

Suffice to say fitting the 2.4 inlet, cams, larger TB higher rate injectors gives you more power/torque for about 1/5th the cost of that setup... plus no dicking about with their crap engine management.
