first off, that's not a motor mount, it's a tranny mount. 2nd off, need to replace that asap. that's what stops the engine from moving too much, if you don't fix it, it will snap the other mounts. our engines like to jump around all over the place. at least get some new inserts.

if your car is shifting hard, likely one of the trans lines were cut or is not making good contact
when i installed a b&m shiftplus, i spliced an extra wire on accident and the car did this (turned TC/ABS off, and made the shifts very hard especially 1st-2nd)
get it fixed asap

Are you people all high?
That's a tranny mount. Replace that ASAP or at least fill it with poly temporarily... i'd say get poly mounts IF and only IF you want your car to vibrate like my ex girlfriends ***** everywhere you drive it

Are you retarded? All of the stock ones are like that that i've seen so i'll go out on a limb and say that they're supposed to be like that for the sake of "comfort" from the factory. They don't want to fill them in (and even though it's rubber it'd still shake) and have people bitch about vibs.

I want to upgrade all the mounts as the motor wobbles about an inch and a half both directions. The rear tranny mount is seperating from the mount itself.
That is the front tranny mount, it's suppose to have indentions... a hole however, i'm not to sure.
Picture off the site....
no hole.

They have slits in them. I swear to god. I just put TTR mounts in my car. That one looks exactly like the ones that were on my car. If you're intent on replacing them though, I have my stockers I'll sell you. They're in perfect condition.

Ok, you guys. There is NOTHING wrong w/ the mount. All that happened was the very thin skin of rubber left over from the indents came out. It's like the little scraps of plastic that you get on the edges of something that was cast in two parts. Look at this mount and tell me those "holes" are not supposed to be there? The rubber just happened to break out in a perfect X pattern--I don't think so. In my pic below, the "holes" that form the "x" pattern used to be filled w/ a flap of rubber as thin as paper--ONLY a result of the manufacturing process. They have no structural integrity. If you're going to get new mounts, fine, but don't listen to everyone telling you that yours are broken. And why on earth would you NOT get the OTTP rotated mounts? They are in-freaking-credible. I feel like for every piece of valuable info. I hear on this site, I hear 20 things that are made up, heresay, conjecture, theory, etc.

Well I wasn't sure. I know something is causing the motor to rock much more than usual and this would be the first car I have owned or seen that has that cheap of tranny mounts.
Thank you for the pic.

Where did he even say what car he has? How am I supposed to know what transmission he has? And if you have an AUTOMATIC and it's rocking during shifts, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's NOT the mounts. I would look at the transmission before the mounts.
