just got 06 ls coupe looking for suggestions on mods and rims

hey i just got a 2006 ls coupe, its black with the 15in aluminums, i wanna put rims on it and im thinking 17s(some suggestions would be great). i'm also looking to do some mods to the engine 145hp just isnt't quite enough for me. i have looked all over the internet but all i can find are the bug deflector things and brake pads. does anyone know of any performance parts available for the 06, and i was wondering if 05 parts would fit the 06?

Note of caution regarding switching from 15 inch tires to 17 inch. With 17 inch conversion you will/could be traveling approx. 5 mph faster than you speedo shows.

i had the same prob, only my car is an 05 LS. i got the nice black ones, but i went to 18" and a 225/40 tire.

you can also go to www.tirerack.com and see what certain styles will look like on your car. konig, motegi, and tenzo are a couple of good brands to look at.

another thing to look out for, i thought this sounded so stupid and laughed at the guy who sold me my wheels and tires. i got them at a good price but they were gonna charge $500 to "install" them. i dont consider that an install. i took them to another tire and muffler shop and ended up getting it done for $60. the speedo reading change can easily be done anywhere, even when they balance and mount your tires.

good luck

well one thing that will wake up your 145hp beast would be weapon r intake and maybe a corsa or magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust, and if you plan to stay n/a then a header and high flow 2.5 inch cat would help alot os well maybe put you into the 175 hp range

hey thanks for all the suggestions and i dont think an 18" rim package would be good around the area i live because there are A LOT of potholes and a low profile tire wouldn't be good(i know i could get a higher profile tire with 18s but im concerned about rubbing issue so i figured a 17 would be good for many reasons). thanks again.
