Just seeing if people would be interested.....

I started this thread just to see if people would be interested in the SSBC brakes for the 4 lug cobalts. If there is enough interest I might be able to convince the company to become a supporting vendor and possibly sell to the forum members at a lower price. I'm not trying to start anything with any of the other vendors.....just seeing if it would be worth the companies time to be a supporting vendor considering that they only sell one aspect of these cars, that being the brakes. Also trying to see what people would be willing to pay if it was "reasonable".

technically i'm already on the list.

but, really this mod is without a doubt one of my most important to get. i'm holding out til i get enough hp/tq to justifiy the increased stopping power.

I figured that Auto-X people would be the most interested.....I will also see about 5 lug as well....so it covers every model, remember though, it's still just a feeler....

Yeah, I'm interested

I have a 4 lug and I would like to upgrade in the future. It may be a while, but if they do bring it to market, I may be ready by the time they have it available.

The kits are already released, you can check the existing vendors already and find them, although I think most advertise the 5 lug(ss) kit. Also wanted to know what people consider "reasonable" and how many would ACTUALLY purchase them.

ok just seeing what people would pay because the front retail on most websites for $895 and the rear are $1195 non-powdercoated

I'd be interested to know what mods you're running in STS. I'm currently stock, but was thinking about some suspension mods which would land me squarely in STS.

If I got the rear kit only, would I still have to upgrade to 17 inch wheels?

I plan to winter the car and dont want to have to buy 17 inch snow tires...

ive got the eibach pro kit (i know the sport springs would handle better but i do enjoy clearing even large speed bumps), pacesetter exhaust, aem cai, 17x7 wheels with 215/45/17 tires(heres a great tip to do really well in sts class, rules state a treadwear of at least 140, pirelli corsa p-zero tires in the 215/45/17 size are rated at 140 while all other sizes are rated at 60. they are the same compound but the 215 size is molded at 8mm instead of 4mm. you just have em shaved and you have close to the traction of hoosier dot slicks in the sts class. im saving right now for a set so i can crush those damn hondas). future mods are gonna be some coilovers, roll bars, strut brace, and brakes.
