Question K&N Air Filter and MAF sensor

Will an K&N air filter mess up the mass air flow sensor on the car?

brand new = no

but you OVER oiling when you cleaned it = yes

nope, i have ran both the 2.2/2.4 and the supercharged version of the KnN intake, and have not had any problem with either

it can it would throw a code....and when u check it with a scan tool it will start to make harsh shifts(for an automatic)and could mess with ur clutch(for man),,and it would say some thing like : the use of and over oiled after market/ reusable air filter.......lol i have it but..nothings wrong ?? i dk

i've seen sites that show flow tests and how much more dirt the free flowing filter lets in +5hp > engine life? ..... but i asked this question before and some say yes and some say no.. definately over oiling it will cause issues.
