K&N Typhoon Installed!

Thanks to Kyle my new K&N Intake is now installed. Everything fit perfectly, and I was finally breathing a sigh of relief knowing I wouldn't have to order another intake.

She sounds MEAN! This thing def. sucks more air in than the Fujita did, and the tube is beefy. I'll just have to buy another dry flow filter, since this one is most likely going to throw a cel.

Yeah, that's why I had to return my Fujita and get the K&N. Overall I like the K&N better. I will post some pics tomorrow, or tonight if it stops raining.

Do you get the sick bubbling through your exhaust? Maybe this has something to do with the SAI since it's made to push more air through the exhaust.

So that is the CAI hookup in the 2nd to last picture? Did you have to disconnect the pure plastic tube and hook it up directly to the rubber tube?

Yes you have to take the stee; clamp off and remove the plastic tube. It comes with an adapter and rubber hose to run to the hole in the intake

Alright...that's awesome. I might have to buy this intake sometime. I tried to delete the plastic tube only (big hole from the belts formed after it fell) and just clamp a breather on to the rubber tube and I mounted to some piece of metal down below but I was still getting CEL's for the air pump. I wrapped the plastic tube with electrical tape to seal it and clamped it back to the rubber tube and stuck the breather on the end but I still get a CEL every once in a while. I clear it and it's ok for a few weeks but then it comes back on. I don't understand it.

To be honest, since it has the SAI also you hear alot going through the exhaust as well. There is a tad bit of a bubbly groan that goes throughout and out the exhaust. It's pretty sweet. I've read a lot about the SAI and it makes sense because it's meant to push more air directly through the exhaust.

I'll post some videos of this and you can def. hear the sweet sound it makes. My gf even loves it too, which is a plus.

The thing is so that the SAI air pump only turns on during a cold start... That is the only time it is pushing air into the manifold.
