light weight crank pully

Im pretty interested in this light weight crank pully. But how much hp is it freeing up? And also is it true that when you run a light weight crank pully that at stop lights and such that your interior lights dim down because of the lose of power or something like that? please let me know. thanks guys..

rsm makes both stock size and under drive

they are nice pullies

if you have a auto or a large sound system get the stock size pulley

pulleys are not worth it on your car if its a daily driver those are race oriented items only and crank pulleys are the worst since they usually create more vibration and start to wear parts on your engine down, the alternator pulley is what will make the lights dim, this pulley may work fine if you upgrade to a yellow top batterry by optima and get a nice grounding kit , the hp increases are minimal at best maybe 1 or 2 hp fopr the alt pulley and slighlty better throttle response , the crank is just to risky imo

Will this Pulley work with the SS? Has anyone confirmed it yet? Please advise. I ran a search but cannot find anything other then this post. RSM's web page is pretty vague on descriptions.

the ss/sc uses a 6rib belt , the 2.2 and 2.4 use a 5 rib belt

so that would be a No

an underdrive pulley is smaller in diameter wich decreases the speed of rotation on your acc.(power steering, water pump, alternator) good for when racing as u are less apt to throw a belt or wearout your acc. with high rpm runs, so yes your alternator may cause dimming of lights from less voltage produced when useing an underdrive(smaller)crank pulley .a lightweight pulley simply weighs less and frees up small amounts of power at the crank simply because lighter is easier to turn. i used an underdrive pulley for dirt track racing because i threw less belts and slowing down the water pump kept the car running cooler. but lightweight and underdrive are 2 seperate things. as far as underdrive on a supercharger a change in the pulley ratios will alter the amount of boost .IMO while small changes may boost performance i wouldnt mess with boost unless u know whats up any change may require additional tuneing leave it for the pros(can u say stage 2) and save yourself the headache unless your hardcore.
