It the pcv. It vents pressure fronm the crankcase. The hose originally went to the air intake so any gasses that escaped from the crankcase would be combusted in the engine.

If you plug it you will reduce ring seal, decrease horsepower, increase oil consumption, and likely cause an oil leak when the pressure overcomes the seals.

The piping isnt bad at all, its the clamps that come with it that are crap. Im going to get a filter for SAI just havent had a chance.
