Okay do this then.

Header, High flow, no glasspack, summit racing muffler(the $50 buck one)

My setup was header, glasspack(act like a cat), and flowmaster. was loud at WOT but I like deep idle sounds. Worked for me. Felt a lot of mid to top end gain.

I had a custom setup so you'd have to do some searching to see if anyone had the same setup.

Pacesetter(******* pain in the ass find another company) header, 18" glasspack from Auto-Zone, and Flowmaster 40 series.

But when I just had the summit racing muffler. It sounded loud. Your in luck I still have it outside beside my shop.

This is what it looks like though. That is a different brand, but same design. I'll take a picture of mine in the shop tomorrow.

I also have this kind of muffler sitting out there(put my flowmaster on instead).

btw- I searched all over the website and in my two magazines from Summit Racing. Couldn't find it. I HIGHLY doubt the discontinued it. May just have a brain fart. Watch me find it tomorrow.

That's the same idea. I just substitute the fart can for a quieter muffler for my setup.

No CAT, no resonator, no muffler. Just pipes. Thats why race cars are so loud.

mine is ss header to 2.5" pipes (w/ cat), to glasspack, to resonator tip. no muffler, and its pretty loud but it doesnt sound TOO much like bees in a can. all pipes are custom bent, whole setup w/ glasspack and tip cost me about $180 (also incl. used ss header).. you can hear in my vids..

ive had it for a year now and im sick of it.. im probably gonna get a used ss/sc exhaust soon...its just annoying when you're trying to talk to someone on the phone or hear anyone in the back seat...

What you want your exhaust to sound like will sound like super ****. You are 16 and the LAST thing you want is attention drawn to you in a RED 4 door 4 cylinder. I have to sound like a dick because If you do this and get a bunch of dirty looks and tickets I'll be the one to say I told you so.

Inspection in my area don't care about exhaust. We don't have any of those smog test. Its the quality of the video the car is alot lower in volume. Let me see if i have another, and DP is actually ZZP.

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ideoid=8846777 its at idle. no muffler resonator y pipe obviously for the dual tips for the kit.

i thought you said you don't want the car to sound like ****??? why even ask for people's advice if you're going to ignore it? go ahead, run straight pipes. i'll put $100 right now that even the ricers in your area will point and laugh at you. trust me, don't do it.
