its definitely going to flow better than stock but its not a racing cat so it'll still give you some backpressure. do your own price research... check ebay, probably find one on there.. its probably around $150

why do you want backpressure?

i would suggest doing some more research. i think you're going to be very disapointed when you start the car, drive, and it's raspy as **** and sounds like crap.

says who? backpressure is bad, not good. backpressure takes a way power, doesn't matter if the car is na or not. it's an old myth.

thats going to sound absolutely terrible, just letting you know ahead of time...

with every muffler or cat you remove your exhaust will get louder but will also sound more raspier...so, have fun with that.

straight pipes on a stock cat sounds like rice. really though that's some bad advice.

tell your friend to read up on backpressure, and he'll learn why it's bad. also, what is the point of totally freeing up the exhaust piping, and having the air running through a crazy restrictive cat? it doesn't make sense.

get a v8 if you want something that will sound good with a loud exhuast. I bet within the first day you will hate yourself for doing it, then within a couple weeks you will be pulled over and ticketed

okokok. i get it. y dont i just save some money. pick up a CA V1 header, xtc catless DP and a megan racing drift spec cat back...

that way it will be loud, not rice, and have noticable power gains.

Make sure that you use 2.5 exhaust pipe.. it gives a deeper tone.."sounds better"
The whole thing should not be to expensive either.. one time I picked up a glasspack from summitracing.com for under $30 ...and a stainless steel "fart can" off ebay for around $40
enough said!!!

I actually think the SLP Loudmouth II Catback Exhaust sounds pretty beefy, its a Dual pipe, and they claim to be the only "true" Dual pipe exhaust for the cobalt.

there is no true dual for our cars and if there was I would smack the maker, that would sound worse than this kid wants too.

Quick Reply: loudest exhaust possible!!!
