"Enuff said" make sure you know the vehicle you're talking about. The intake on the 2.0 is in a different location. a SRI will get you the same temp on a 2.0 as a full intake. Either way the end point is in the wheel well. Same with a 350z (i think). It only matters on engines where it's located up top (i.e.- the 2.2l, the Evo I think is located up top too).

I wanted for a while to fab up some nice ITB's using the Huyabusa intake as a guide/starter... But decided it'd be way too much of a pain in the ass to get right...

ya i think the build book actually mentions the use of ITB's and the use of a RSX basis.
thats a legit reason for SRI
[QUOTE=Coolbalt SS;2166412]hot air rises dipshit. the intake is in the corner at the same height as the engine. SRI intakes dont suck in hot air. cai may suck in colder air but by the time it reaches the tb its going to be nearly the same temp.
it's under the hood **** where does it go? it eventually spreads EVERYWHERE.
...your an idiot plain and simple...

i would think that when the car is actually traveling down the road the air is being pushed up and out between the windsheild and the hood or down over the top of the engine so where the filter is positioned in the engine bay it is sucking in mostly the air that is coming in throught the grill portion of the car. plus the intake that k&n makes comes with a heat shield.
so yes the cai in essence gets 'colder' air out of the fender well but it has to travel along the intake charge pipe and has nothing to protect it from the heat given off of the motor like the sri does. personally i think the difference in gains between the 2 are probably so minimal in actual whp that they both are just about the same IMO

Enuff said- you are a ****** moron. go look where the filter sits. youre telling me that the heat produced from the engine is going rise, then somehow go against 40mph winds and manage to stay hot in get sucked into my filter? GENIUS! are you a physics teacher?

yes the air is being pushed out but when your sitting at a stop light for a couple of minuets where does it go....your a **** tard coolbalt
you dont need to be a physics teacher...although dumb ***** like you make air intakes into freaking rocket science cause your feeble mind cant make simple conclusions even when the FACTS are right there in front of you
im done w/ you idiots

I believe K&N actually makes two different units for the different displacemnts. You might want to chekc the differences on thier website. It should bolt up in the same position but you might not see the gains you suppose to.

since im in college and am cheap..i had to make a compromise. i wanted a CAI on my 2.2 LS. so i did this. ripped out the silencer box below my headlight. got a bendable tube from Spectre and a open-ended cone filter. i stuck the tube into where the silencer box attached to the filter box and attached the cone filter to the other end into the wheel well under the headlight. i took out the stock filter. put headlight back in. What a difference! I can keep up with my friends sentra se-r spec-c that has K&N intake, headers, magnaflow exhaust. he can get me in over all speed but o well. not bad for $50 or so

for 2.2, any short ram.
short rams are always louder. i have the k&n its loud as hell.. wouldn't recommend fujita as you have to keep the stock black box that clamps to your TB. injen and weapon r's sri are just like the k&n, w/o heat shield. i think the heat shield helps a little. it also helps your intake not bouncing around and getting all dinged up when your engine flexes..
all in all... k&n is the way to go for 2.2 IMO
