LS Dyno
So I dynoed My 2006 LS yest along with everyone else. Although I was the slowest one there, I was very impressed with my numbers. For performance mods, I have an ebay CAI w/AEM dryflow filter, clear image tri-y highflow midlength header, highflow cat and dp, and SSSC stock exhaust w/o resonator. Stock it puts down 145hp to the crank, and with a 15-20% (approx) loss through the drivetrain...it stock puts down about 116-123hp to the tires. My runs were:
1- 3rd gear: 144whp and 146wt
2- 3rd gear: 146whp and 148wt
3- 4th gear: 145whp and 155wt
I was very happy with my gains...although not the fastest...she did well
Here is the graph, vid to come later:
the spike at the end is my speed limiter blast!!!!
1- 3rd gear: 144whp and 146wt
2- 3rd gear: 146whp and 148wt
3- 4th gear: 145whp and 155wt

Nice numbers indeed!...I just dont understand how you have almost the same numbers as me and my car is rated at 200hp 205tq. Granted I have an auto but I can't see them being that close lol

thanks man. I was pretty impressed with these considering my bolt ons. Im doing a full exhaust here soon, so maybe a few more horses out of it. It sounded amazing too. The videos are being worked on now, and then i will be able to upload that. Ill keep working on it
the clear image header and dp is AMAZING!!! From my math it added 12-15% HP!! It really depends on the dyno as well...but my car was running great that day

Just keep up hope, the 2.2 has ALOT of potential. With what I have done here I have it about to where a 2.4 is stock...just a few more mods and I'll be keeping up with the stock sc's haha
Thats my end goal. I am putting myself through college right now though, so it gets to wait

Im thinking of getting a 2.2 out of a wrecked cobalt, seen those for about $400ish. build that up with pistons rods, cams ect so she can handle high boost and pull my "warranty" engine out so if i blow that one i can put that engine back in

I have been wanting to go to the dyno shop thats around here. I am dying to know what I get. I have GMPP intake, GMPP catback, Polished ss/sc exhaust manifold, ss/sc downpipe, 2.4 Intake manifold, and RKsport conductor springs. I would LOVE to hit 160

thats what im looking for. i want to get to 300hp so im about half way there haha. I will DEF keep you all updated, this dyno shop is only a few miles from my place and will do 3 pulls for 55$, so its a good place to keep testing it out. When I finish these mods, by the math that most are finding (a 23% drivetrain loss to the wheels) then I will be right at the same as a stock ss/sc so maybe...just maybe when i get the 2.4 intake mani and the exhaust...I will be able to neck and neck a stock sssc that would make my day hahaha...."slightly modded ls takes an sssc...and NO, its not due to driver error for once!!!)....hmmm...

i did mine with alarm and everything, but it was like 200$ for the parts and install...but mine was with 1500$ worth of parts and work..so its discounted lol. I did pwr locks, alarm, backup alarm, pain generator, pioneer prem head unit, ipod hookup, amp, and subs and all installed at once in one day lol
