LSD as a option on LS model Possible?

Title pretty much is all im wanting to know. Before buying this LS i would like to get some of the nice options such as LSD and what not.. I alrdy got the sun roof comin and sprot pkg.

I highly doubt that is an option from the factory on the LS considering the SS and LS use different transmissions.

Your LS probably will have traction control. Unless you plan on putting some serious power into the car, I don't think you will need LSD.

Dang i was just curious. Also all i really plan on doing if i do it would be getting that 2.2 S/C when its released and maybe exhaust/intake or whatnot. Thanks for the quick response

No problem, I am sure you can find an aftermarket LSD for the LS if it's something you really have your heart set on.

Do you have auto or manual?

I don't know about the manual, but bet it wouldn't be hard to find.

As for the auto, I know two places that make aftermarket LSD's. Phantom Grip, and Engineered Performance. Of course installing them means completely tearing your transmission apart.

Quaife makes an LSD for for BOTH the Getrag F23 5spd used in the "regular" Cobalts and the FPG (Saab) F35 as used in the SS/SC (same as G85 limited slip option) approx cost $1450+installation

if you get a stick you do have a sort of lsd i know if i spin my tires it will spon both been told it wont all that much power though so will need upgrading if modded to much

they may both be spinning...but they are not spinning at the same speed.

Im not sure bute I think that quaife make a lsd for the 2.2 but again im not sure about that,I saw it on a website and they were 2 different lsd, one for the SS and the other maybe for the 2.2

You have an open differential, not a limited slip differential

As far as getting an LSD, it goes by transmission, not by model. Check the sites that were previously posted in this thread.

P.S. Traction control isn't available on the 5 speed cars. Only on automatics.
