LSJ Exhaust fitment issues on L61

Ok so today I had an LSJ exhaust manifold, dp, and cat-back installed on my 2.2

The header bolted up perfectly. The dp went on fine as well...

First problem: The cat is sitting on top of the front sway bar(i assume thats what it is) While idle it's not actually touching it...but it does rattle on it quite a bit. Anyone have a fix for this?

Secondly...The exhaust from the resonator back isnt fitting properly. It's leaning towards the passenger side of the car a lot for some reason. The tip is a good 2 inches towards the passenger side of the car instead of lining up with the spot for it on the rear bumper.

I reused the rubber hangers and the furthest one to the driver side on the muffler is being stretched a lot towards the passenger side of the car. At times, the muffler is rattling off of the bottom of the spare tire well.

Anyone else have any of these issues? I searched the forum but came up with nothing.

Try getting that header/exhaust wrap stuff and wrap the spots that its vibrating against, it should help with the noise

Obviously there is something wrong. Either a hanger is bent or a rubber isolator is off.

The cat sould not be touching anything, and if it is just wrapping it is not a FIX for the problem. The cat gets so hit youre going to burn paint off and that heat will transfer to other componets if its touching.

I replaced all my rubber isolators with urathane ones, it also lifted the exhaust 1/2 inch.

There is no problem with bending things a little bit to fit properly. However, the system should fit perfectly. Your cat hitting the stab sounds very wrong.

You know what I love about halfcent? he always know how to say the right things to make you feel better.

to the OP, fanagle things a little bit. they should all fit perfectly. check your hangars and see if you can straighten things out.

It seems as though the whole system needs to go ahead like an inch or two...I don't see how the cat is rubbing on mine if not on everyone elses....I mean it's bolted to the header and the header is bolted to the motor...it's as simple as that isn't it?

As for the other fitment issues, Imma go snap some photos of it to help illustrate the problems.

Stay tuned folks, and thanks for all the replies

Ok here's some pictures.

You can see how it is hanging low on the driver side and slightly to the right.

You can also see it is brought up against the bottom the car just before it goes over the axle. The muffler also rubs under the trunk.

I'm debating going to get a small piece welded in somewhere to make it fit but I really hate to spend more money if there is an easy way of fixing this.

I'll get a shot of the cat rubbing when I can jack the car again.

P.S. I am aware the tip is lower on the 2.2 because of the lip on the sc...please dont mistake that as one of my issues.

^ Wow, rust FTL! I bet that's exactly how my car looks as well though. I haven't been underneath by the exhaust since last summer.

just put a ss/sc exhaust mani and downpipe on today, there was about 1" clearance btw the cat and the sway. so far to clinking noises, but i do have the prothane trans mounts which keep the motor pretty much motionless in the engine bay. while i was fitting everything together i made sure to push up on the downpipe while tightening bolts to get as much clearance as possible.

Would the car being lowered have any affect on the cat rubbing?
