The Magic Trick?
I have an auto 2.2L LT, and I don't know if this is just me or not. But sometimes when I punch the gas I fly, but other times it's a little sluggish. I haven't been able to find out what makes it go, and what makes it slow. Have any of you found out that magic trick?

Could possibly depend on the converter, sometimes if you flash it up just right, it seems to go a little better. By flash, i mean maybe your right in between the vortex and rotary flow of fluid in the converter, and takes a bit more time to get the vortex flow going dunno, but thats what i think it is.

it's a HUGE difference with the ac on... as far as stepping on it, it depends where you catch it... you have to learn where the car REALLY moves... like i know if i floor it at 20, i'm gonna accelerate to 80 a LOT faster than if i had floored it at 40... learn where the cars strong points are, and use them accordingly... if i'm at 40, i will go maybe halfway to the floor till i get to 50, then punch it... the reason is that i know that my car is a hella more responsive at 50 than it is at 40... floor it at 80, and the pin isn't going to move for a while... floor it at 70-75 and get to 100 before you know it... learn the car and you'll be happier...

It's slightly noticeable but it's not like something that's gonna make you be a full second slower in the 1/4 mile or something.
