Megasquirt
So as I've read on the FI topic, there is still no ECU upgrade for the Cobalt LS. On one of my previous cars, I used megasquirt for tuning. Is there any reason that would not work in this situation?

It will work. ElvisC over on the Ion forums . net uses it. you can also buy the MSII already assembled for like 400 bux. I use the smt-6. it works the same, but also has ignition control. MSII i believe doesnt yet. and it will require an additional card to support it when it does.

LOL, no, not ****.
But yea, I know people who assemble megasquirt and can tune it and everything. And I figured with no replacement ECU, it would be the best system atm, since you can leave the stock ecu in to deal with things such as the electric steering system, while using megasquirt to deal with the fuel injectors and what not.
Thumbs up to you Sw.

You can use the megasquirt system. People are kinda scared of it due to the fact that it is a little more complicated then just adjusting slide bars. I have a mega squirt going into my sleeper car next week. If you are interested in megasquirt do your research. THere is a lot of custom wiring and work that needs to be done. If your interested let us know. We are a ms dealer.

I used megasquirt on an older volvo and it works great, espeically with launch control. My only concern about putting it in a new car is when it comes to inspection time and OBDII scanning. If you figure that portion out, you're all set!
