misfiring

how can you tell if your car is misfiring?? because i think mine is. it is not running the way it should be

It will flash the CEL for a misfire.

Not if it's a random multiple cylinder misfire...

If its misfiring itll run rough, basically.

It will only flash the MIL if the misfire is severe.

If the misfire is persistant you get a MIL(CEL) and set code/codes between P0300-P304.

Have you kept on the maintenance? Do you use TopTier fuel or an additive like Techron at every oil change?

yeah i have i think it might be a bad coil because i changed the plugs and its still doing it

I've had p0300 for a while, even after changing my fuel filter and plugs. People I talk to seem to think its due to the lean condition that my CAI is giving me.

well when i went to skool today i took my dads truck and he worked on my car so and my dad removed this little rubber piece on one of the rubber boots so they all looked the same and it seemed to do the trick it runs fine at stop and go and on the expressway so i think we got it with out having to do anything real major or expensive
