My 2.2 has 215WHP....I WANT MORE
i put a turbo in the 2.2 and it ran 215WHP, i lowered the weight by about 250lbs but its just not enough. whats a list of things i can do to add more power to this 2.2 if your kind enough to make a list, please list how much it would give me extra.

I'm assuming you already have I/H/E plus the 2.4 manifold and TB. If you don't, do that first. Could also upgrade your pulley and cams. Nitrous is also a possibility.

If your still on the stock 2.2 exhaust then........
#1. Get a 3" Downpipe with highflow cat and full 3" exhaust system
#2. Get a better intake manifold
#3. NOS
#4. New tune
You'll be over 250 whp

im running 11psi you think putting it at about 13 will hurt anything on a stock bottom end? and no i dont want NOS. so with the 2.4 TB and mani with a bit more boost, what do you think that will do?

your not gonna notice those kinda gains. if you really want more just invest in pistons and rods. then your good to about 400 (when stock cylinder liners go)
so my 2 cents is live with the nice amount of power you have (thats actually exactlly the numbers im looking to go for soon) or get the pistons and rods.

also...cylinder walls will handle a LOT more than 400...
this would work too, but the LS4 TB is WAY to big. get a 2.4TB or a LSJ at the biggest (LSJ will require rewiring the connector though)

totally wrong mang. Turbo motors LOVE bolt ons (mainly exhaust bolt ons). You wont notice them on an NA car, but on a car already pushing 215whp, the stock IM is becoming a restriction, and with a 2.5" on a turbo'ed car, of course youll see gains going to a 3".
also...cylinder walls will handle a LOT more than 400...
this part is true though. boost doesnt break cars..HP does. you're already on top of the breaking points, and i would recommend getting rods and pistons.

your right i forgot simple air restrictions are huge on f/i engine.
but i do have to disagree with your statement of the cylinder walls they definitely go at around 400 friend of mine had to get the darton sleeves cuz he blew his to pieces at around 400 hp. currently at 500.
edit- btw just checked the build book again. says replace the cylinder liners at 400.
