but i do have to disagree with your statement of the cylinder walls they definitely go at around 400 friend of mine had to get the darton sleeves cuz he blew his to pieces at around 400 hp. currently at 500.

edit- btw just checked the build book again. says replace the cylinder liners at 400.
paul ran his in excess of 500bhp...hell, almost ran 500whp. The same can be said for ZZP's twincharged cars. Me thinks its all in the tuning. Also, i dont think in the build book they changed the cylinder walls because the stock ones gave out. I think they just changed them...just like they did with the pistons.

i would go with pistons and rods, 2.4 manifold then 3" exhaust... in that order... it is said that the 2.4 manifold will give you up to 12 extra hp on a stock cobalt, i am not sure if this is true or not with your turbo set up but it might be worth looking into

What size turbo are you running and how much torque are u make? Mostly wat breaks rods is torque. I've been running my car for over a year now making 298hp and 239tq and has never gave me a problem. im running a 35r journal bearing.

How have they not blown up yet lol. After looking at the rods that are in the 2.2s I'm afraid to push more than 10-11 psi. Durable little motor isn't it...

turbo boost and SC boost are very different. 13psi with a blower and 8-9psi with a turbo are probably both making about 250bhp. its the power that kills engines, not the boost

a lot of people who dont watch the forums, for a lot of car u can turbo and keep the stock manifold, not every car can swap hish a higher trim mani to get better flow

probably right....but I would go ahead and say on just about every 4 cyl engine 90 percent of the time its gonna create more airflow.
